The Republican Public Association «Kazakhstan Authors’ Society» provides the following information on the activities of KazAK for 2021.

1. There are no changes to the Charter and other constituent documents of the Republican Public Association «Kazakhstan Authors’ Society» registered in 2021 by the Department of Registration Service and Organization of Legal Services of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2 Persons authorized to represent the Republican public association «Kazakhstan Authors’ Society»:
1. Kydyrbek Balnur Balgabekkyzy — Chairman;
2. Yesenaliev Baigali Makulbekovich — General Director;
3. Adileva Mariyash Alumtaevna — Chief Accountant.

3. The total amount of collected royalties and related remuneration during 2021 amounted to 404,615 (Four hundred and four thousand six hundred and fifteen) thousand tenge.
4. No remuneration was accrued or paid to foreign organizations managing similar rights in 2021.
5. Distributed, accrued and paid to Kazakhstani performers, producers of phonograms, right holders during 2021 — 64,920 (Sixty-four thousand nine hundred twenty) thousand tenge.
6. Undistributed remuneration for 2021 amounted to 297,227 (Two hundred ninety-seven thousand two hundred twenty-seven) thousand tenge, which was formed due to the fact that the entire archive for the entire period of work was not provided by the previous management of KazAK and therefore there is no information on the data copyright holders.
7. For 2021, the total amount of unclaimed remuneration is 339,695 (Three hundred thirty-nine thousand six hundred ninety-five) thousand tenge. In 2021, work was underway to search for copyright holders to pay unclaimed remuneration by:
1) Placement on the KazAK website of information on the search for copyright holders to pay the collected remuneration.
2) Search for authors and copyright holders by employees of the Kazakhstan Authors’ Society using social networks — such as Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, etc.
8. The actual expenses of KazAC for 2021 amounted to 163,175 (One hundred and sixty-three thousand one hundred and seventy-five) thousand tenge.
Internal control over the activities of the Company is carried out by the Audit Commission, consisting of the right holders — members of KazAK.

9. The main functions of KazAK for interaction with copyright holders:
• conclusion of agreements with copyright holders
• registration of copyright holders and their works
• distribution of collected remuneration and payments to right holders
• providing right holders with the necessary legal advice

10. The main functions of KazAK for interaction with users:
• identifying users and negotiating with them
• conclusion of contracts
• collection of remuneration and receipt of reporting documentation
• explanatory work among users
