Financial department

The distribution and transfer of accrued royalties is implemented by the Financial department of the Society.

The calculation of remunerations to authors and their heirs made on the basis of information contained in the programs (documentation on used work) from regional inspectors authorized by KazAK.

Royalties received to the account of the Society are distributed by shares, calculated on the basis of the genre of each work, number of its performance and field of use.

A personal account for each Kazakh author is opened with the Financial department of the Society. Indicated in the processed documents amounts of remuneration are copied in the relevant books, and in case of works of grand rights — in the appropriate cards, then are paid to authors under paybills.

Local authors receive their monthly remunerations directly in cash in the Society or through transfers to their bank accounts. Regional domestic authors receive their royalties through transfers to bank accounts or at post offices.

Remunerations to foreign authors are transferred by the bank to bank accounts of Sister Societies on the basis of reciprocal agreements once a year after the completion of annual reporting in the country.

The royalty transfers to beneficiaries are drawn up by the official rate of the National Bank of Kazakhstan for a specified period in accordance with «Application for transfer of money in foreign currency”. The basis for submission of «Application for transfer of money in foreign currency» is a reciprocal agreement on the representation of the interests of the KazAK and appropriate foreign Society, and a distribution statement with indication of the amounts due.

The distribution statement embodies names of authors, names of works, performer and an amount due to everybody.

In the Financial department of the Society senior officials on national authors, CIS authors and foreign authors are personally determined.
