On 06 March 2012, in Shymkent, Special Inter-district Economic Court of South-Kazakhstan Oblast examined the claim of KazAK to individual entrepreneur Irismetova G. – the owner of Pavlin Restaurant working under the licensing agreement of Union of Song Authors (SAP) authors’ society – for illegal use of musical works of KazAK’s members. The court ruled out to meet the claims of KazAK and charge the defendant - individual entrepreneur Irismetova G. for 1,794,240.00 Tenge in favour of Kazakh authors. Pavlin Restaurant and SAP are situated in Shymkent.
